Native Sun Farm

Thank you to all the mobbers who came out to support the first official Crop Mob Athens in December. We took a breather to recover from the holidays and are ready to get back to work. As the sun begins to ease back in, we welcome the increasing hours of sunshine in February with a visit to Native Sun Farm in Bogart. Native Sun is a Certified Naturally Grown farm and many of you may know their smiling faces (and beautiful food) from the Athens Farmers Market.

Our primary task of the day is to build a caterpillar tunnel. What is a caterpillar tunnel you ask? You will have to come out to the mob to find out. We promise you will work up enough heat to keep you warm. If we are really awesome and knock that task out, other work for the day may include potato planting and building a compost bin (been thinking of building one of your own? — here’s your chance to get some practice.)

As always, grub (dinner) will be provided after the work. We are not sure who to thank yet, but P.L.A.C.E., Daily Groceries and Earth Fare will all lend a hand. Mob feasts are always memorable. There will be an extra special surprise that will be posted closer to the event.

Join us and put some Sun into your February.
