Hey Mobbers!

The very exciting day of our first mob is almost here, so let’s iron out the details, shall we?

We’ll be mobbing rain or shine, so show up ready for whatever Mother Nature (and unpredictable Atlanta weather) has in store for us. A midday shower might feel great and keep the temperature low. So, in addition to the sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and other sun-preparation paraphernalia you’ve already diligently packed up and have sitting by the door, be sure to add some rain protection and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy.

Miller Union will be providing us with some awesome family style salads, sides and desserts (including some vegan options) but let’s help them out and bring our own plates, utensils. Plate and fork should be sufficient, though you can bring a knife if you’re not a fan of the “tear it with your teeth” plan. And remember to bring your reusable water bottle.

Bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses/Hat
  • Rain gear
  • Muddy boots/shoes
  • Plate/utensils
  • Reusable water bottle

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!

It would be awesome if we were totally ready to go, but we still need a few things from our lovely mobbers to get this to go as smoothly as possible. Please let us know if you can bring a jug or two of water so we can be sure to have enough for everyone. More importantly….carpooling. Now I know this is Atlanta and we’re all used to driving everywhere, but carpooling isn’t just a nice thought for Sunday, it’s a necessity. The farm does NOT have enough parking for all of those slated to come, so we’ve GOT to start buddying up. Plus, it’s a great chance to get to know your fellow mobbers. Right now we’re using Pickup Pal (invite code is “cropmobatl”), but if that’s seeming too complicated, you can also email us or post to the Facebook page your seating availability and location so people can meet up. We could also pick a few central locations for people to meet and just pile into each other’s cars. Let us know what you want, because we need to solve the 70 people in a space with parking for 20 issue.

Y’all are awesome. This is going to be a HUGE step forward for sustainable agriculture in Georgia and we’re so glad you’re going to be there to make it happen. Rain or shine, it’s gonna be great!

See you Sunday at 9AM for some farmin’ fun!
